Berlin, October 21, 2025 - From January 30 to February 2, 2026, Berlin will once again become the stage for visionary fashion. The winners of the Berlin Contemporary and Studio2Retail competitions, funded by the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises / as part of the Project Future state initiative, will present their collections as part of Berlin Fashion Week, setting new impulses for innovation, sustainability, and creative diversity.
An independent jury selected 19 designers whose collections impressed with exceptional craftsmanship and clear strategies addressing sustainability and diversity. Each winner will receive €25,000 in funding. Among the winners are established names such as GmbH, Namilia, and William Fan, alongside emerging talents including DAGGER, Laura Gerte, and MARKE. This season also honors international labels Buzigahill, John Lawrence Sullivan, and Kenneth Ize. One of the awards is reserved exclusively for labels from African countries - this season, the jury selected the Nigerian label Orange Culture. In addition to the prize money, this label will receive further support in production, PR, and guest management.

"Studio2Retail" brings fashion to life across Berlin - on the streets, in stores, and at the city's most creative venues. The award-winning concepts by COLRS, Kitschy Couture, Maqu, Milk of Lime, Plaid-à-Porter, and Vladimir Karaleev make Berlin Fashion Week an experience accessible to a wider audience. Each project is supported with a €5,000 grant provided by the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises / as part of the Project Future state initiative and the Berliner Sparkasse.
