Vanessa Baernthol was founded in Berlin in 2023 at the intersection of fashion and art. Following presentations at Der Berliner Salon at the Bode Museum and Fashion Positions at Berlin Art Week, Vanessa Baernthol made her runway debut FW25 REBUILT at Berlin Fashion Week in January 2025. Known for her architectural approach to fashion and her focus on sustainable production, Vanessa Baernthol showcases fashion that deconstructs and redefines layering as both an artistic and functional practice. Building on the conceptual foundation of Vanessa Baernthol's runway debut, SS26 VENEER followed at Berlin Fashion Week – fashion that transcends the boundaries of the classic runway and focuses on the performative aspect in the format of an immersive presentation – a moment between architecture and movement, silence and sound, permanence and change, presence and power.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

Vanessa Baernthol’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, “SPHERE”, presents fashion as a holistic vision. Inspired by architecture, sculptures and nature – reflected in both the silhouettes and the color palette – water emerges as a central element of his collection. It is addressed not only as an aesthetic or symbolic presence, but also as a critical reference to the reality in fashion production, where water becomes the invisible prime resource – a commentary on consumption and responsibility. The collection, made entirely from deadstock fabrics, features layering, draping, and a play with volume, establishing movement, fluidity and spatial interaction. The show was further accompanied by a custom scent, creating a fully immersive experience.
