Grow, but don't forget how to play. Inspired by Rubens past as a german airforce officer, the designs and craftsmanship reflects structure and rebellion combined with a positive twist. Crafting uniforms - about merging military silhouettes with delicate, working with deconstructed textures and using latest technologies.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

Nowrubi’s AW26 collection INNOCENCE is inspired by the fragmented yet vivid memories of childhood and traces the tension between innocence and discovery, where childhood is remembered as a constellation of blurred images, emotions and gestures. Based on Walter Benjamin’s quote that “it is not what we experienced, but how we remember it that makes up our story”, the understanding of memory as fragile, incomplete, and always reinterpreted forms is the conceptual foundation of the collection. Visually these themes are translated into contrasts of structure and softness, playful elements set against refined tailoring, and details that hint at improvisation. Shapes recall the freedom of movement, while material choices and craftsmanship anchor them in the present. In its essence, the collection asks: who are we, when we look back? What shaped us, and how do we romanticize it in hindsight? Nowrubi seeks to make this process tangible and opens the dialogue between past and present, naivety and maturity, memory and imagination. INNOCENCE represents a continuation of Nowrubi’s central search for identity and belonging, where each look becomes an echo of childhood, refracted through the lens of adult reflection.
