Laura Gerte creates garments with a focus on confidence and sustainability, portrayed through empowered female characters. Bodies reclaiming their power stand at the centre of the brand’s identity. Raw femininity, soft drama, future punk, a touch playful, a little naughty and lots of movement. Laura Gerte’s work fuses a deeply personal creative practice with socio-cultural commentary, realized through textile hybrids made from pre-existing garments.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

For Fall/Winter 2026, Laura Gerte presents “Deviant Defiant”, an exploration of willfulness and the trope of female villains. The collection reflects a refusal to be contained by societal constraints and reimagines villainous females not as cautionary tales, but as embodiments of agency and power. The pieces are crafted from deadstock or recycled textiles, re-engineered into textile hybrids that carry traces of past lives, each resulting in a transformative garment. Laura Gerte’s signature interplay of strength and fragility remains, albeit more serious, more adult, and more erotic this season. Dark hues of sculpted wool, fluid jersey, rigid leather, tight satin and mesh are accentuated through textures, drapes and a slim, elongated silhouette with unexpected volumes. Dr. Martens shoes are transformed into garments and accessories, shifting their function while retaining their structural and cultural integrity.
